Accidentaly saved over a load state

Keeping it quick. I was playing Pokemon Black 2 and saved it at 19:24. Left for a couple hours and came back to load it up at 22:34. Instead of loading my slot 1 save, i saved over it as the opening sequence was playing. However i was able to find the save from 19:24 in my backups folder. Ive tried swapping it for a new slot 1 save, albeit i have no idea if i was doing that right, and ive tried coverting the dst file to an sav file and loading it as a memory load. It does load, but it takes me to the opening sequence and prompts me only to start a new game. As far as im concerned, im looking at my untouched save from 19:24 before i left. Unless im wrong, is there any way to salvage this? Or am i better off starting from 0 and cheating my way back to where i was? Any help is appreciated.

Re: Accidentaly saved over a load state

Try using the "Load state from" option and selecting your backup state in there. You should also be aware that you shouldn't really be using savestates with the Pokemon games, as they tend to break over time. Make regular in-game saves and maybe even back up your battery folder every now and then.
