Hii, I need help to be able to launch desmume correctly.
after launching my ROM on Desmume, the error message appears "Could not get read/write access to the battery save file! The file will not be saved in this current session.
Choose Config > Path Settings and ensure that the SaveRam directory exists and is available for read/write access." and i can't solve this problem, i reinstall and uninstall and so on and nothing changes, dans mes "path settings" ma save devrait être dans le dossier "Battery" cependant je ne n'en possède aucun.
could someone help me? and tell me what to do/download so that it works?
I am French, sorry for the translation, thank you.

desmume does not have an installer. it is not clear what you have "installed" and "uninstalled". You may not even be using desmume but rather spyware fake desmume. If you are using desmume for real, simply dearchive desmume to a directory on your desktop and proceed to use it without any cares, concerns, or problems.

I downloaded desmume 9.13 via the link on the desmume site: https://github.com/TASEmulators/desmume … ase_0_9_13
so I think I downloaded the real desmume, however even after doing what you said, the same problem persists.

You are using your old desmume.ini file somehow which points at a directory for save data that does not exist or that you do not have access to. Or else you have a username with non-english characters in it (or perhaps a space in it?) and desmume is glitching trying to access your desktop through that path. Monitor your filesystem to see where desmume.ini is coming from and delete it or try making a user with a different username and run it from that desktop
