Hello there, is there anyone who can help me with the following tow problems?
I have tried to start several different ROMs for avatar the burning earth, avatar the last airbender, advance wars black hole rising and advance wars, but i allways get a white screen or an error message:
"The rom header is invalid. The device size has been increased to allow for the provided file size."
There is this one post from a guy who seems to have the same problem with the white screen, his case has been solved:
http://forums.desmume.org/viewtopic.php?id=10739
Now i am struggeling to find this "execute menue option" he is referring to. Can anyone help me out with this specific problem and with the error message? Thank you very much in advance for your effort!
Greetings
Patrick

No, it shouldn't. But you're welcome to wish for better detection of what's actually an NDS rom even if it's malformed so that a NEW message can be added.

oke sry for burden you again, but the problem is only solved for the error message problem, the problem with the whitescreen when starting a rom still remains. i have discovered something else: advance wars dual strike is also not starting properly, when i start the rom i only get a white screen. However, when i load the game from one of my savestates, i can play the game properly from the point i have saved the game at another time. So tht problem is only that the roms are not started well, do you have any solutions for this too?
thx in adavance

delete all your files and download them again. stop using hacks and cheats. if you still get white screens, change config > display method

okay deleting desmume did the trick. i have figured out that the problem was something i changed in the emulator settings: you have to select "config", then "emulation settings" and then turn out "emulate ensata". When this option is turned off all my roms start without any problems

Thanks for reporting your findings. It's okay to pick random options to learn, but you should try to remember what you did and do them one at a time.
