How do I load .dsv files

Hi so I just started using the emulator to play Pokemon and my laptop died and lost my savestates I believe (I use the menu and chose a F key to save my game). So I have tired loading the state through the menu and it says there is an error so I looked through my laptop and found the .dsv file for Pokemone Platium. I'm not sure if I'm even looking at the right thing but how do I load this onto the emulator.

Re: How do I load .dsv files

safest way to do it:

1. use a clean desmume directory
2. boot the game
3. watch the exact location and filename it uses to drop the .dsv file for the game
4. close desmume
5. replace file found in step 3 with your backup
6. open desmume and boot game

once you understand what's going on, you don't have to follow such awkward steps
