Hi thanks for looking at this, to start off about a couple of months ago (a long time ago actually) I was playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time and I had 20-30 hours in that game. Recently I did a pc clean and deleted "unused files" which I now realize might have been important, anyways, when I decided to play again today the game loaded up with a background picture of my two characters (don't know if this is random) were the same, but my game didn't say continue, it said new game instead. Is there any way I can find the past save and continue where I left off?
Note: I have done some research and know a bit about .dsv files, but since I opened the game today the timestamp said 5/4/19 which is the date of this post. Also, I do know about savestate files and I did use them, but unfortunately I can't find them anywhere not even on desmume. Also don't bother with bullcrap about obvious things that I probably already tried (unless the solution is very obvious, and I am just very stupid).
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I am going to bed if anyone says something, so I won't answer until later in the morning, sorry for the trouble.

This isn't a question about desmume, it's a question for your "pc clean" vendor. Ask them how to get back "deleted unused files"

I have looked and undeleted all of the files, I just don't know what files I am supposed to be looking for.

I thought you knew a bit about .dsv files. If you only know one thing about .dsv files, it would be that it's what contains your in-game save data

Yes, but like I said there is no past .dsv file that has my saved data the only one that shows up is the one that was created when I started a new game

Then your file recovery tools are inadequate. You will need to make more extensive manual backups in the future.
