Desmume flickering

ive used different emulators before to play GBA games, but, wanting to re-live my childhood playing pokemon platinum, i started having some issues. Once i got everything downloaded, i tried to loading my rom, only to be disappointed by some severe flickering and freezing up of the emulator on my pc. Ive run scans on my computer, making sure i didnt have any viruses or something. Ive searched for fixes, and just about everything i have tried hasnt worked. I can play the game, but i almost constantly have to keep using my mouse to click back onto it, because it flickers, tabs me out, or freezes while i try to play. I also have this issue before i have even loaded my rom. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Desmume flickering

reformat your system. it's scrambled. the only option in desmume that might stop instigating the glitchy behaviour on your system is config > display method

Re: Desmume flickering

You need to find a friend who's familiar with tech. We can't walk you through that here.

Re: Desmume flickering

yes. I cant guarantee that will fix it, but I feel pretty sure most people hearing your problem and skill level would say it's time to nuke the OS and start over. your only other alternative is to uninstall and fix junked up software on your system and I doubt that's likely to work for you.

Re: Desmume flickering

with the thought of that not even working, i went to see if i could just find a different emulator, and seem to have found one that works fine. Been playing on it for a bit and so far havent run into any problems.
