DeSmuME Wii Emulation Slow-Down Problem - Help Needed Please!

Hello.  I'm new to the forum here & pretty new to the use of emulators -- especially when it comes to dealing with any issues with them.  I downloaded what I found labeled as "DeSmuME (r253)" which, as far as I can tell is supposed to be the most up-to-date version of the DS Wii Emulator.  I have several DS games that I have for my physical DS that I was really looking forward to being able to play on my TV since staring at the DS' small screens gives me a hell of a headache.  So far I've tried to run 4 different games, and 4/4 of them ran slow.  I mean like SUPER slow.  I've checked the compatibility list 3 times and 3 of the 4 games are on the list.  The 4th I just wanted to try because it's one of my favorite games & I was surprised but it did seem to run it, but again in a super slow manner.  I've checked a lot of different posts and sites up till now & haven't been able to find a solid answer as to how to fix this problem.

If anyone can help me out with getting these games to play at regular speed instead of quarter speed I would really appreciate it.  I don't know if maybe I don't have the newest version, or if there is a different program or emulator that will run the games at regular speed, or even if there's a way to fix it so I can finally enjoy some of these awesome games on a big screen.  Thanks in advance for any and all help you guys can give me.  Also, if you need any more info (the name of the games I'm trying or anything else please feel free to ask and I'll provide that info to you.  Thanks again in advance & I look forward to getting this issue fixed and onto some gaming.

I have no idea what desmume r253 is. It isn't the most recent desmume. I just googled it, and it seems it's from 2013.
I'm not even going to read the rest of your post. I hope you don't mind.

Thanks. I'm glad to know it's not the most recent version, I do wish you would have linked a more recent version for me though, as when I search I can find a file from 2010 or the one I had listed above, so I've no idea where a more recent up-to-date version can be found.

Thank you very much.  I checked out the link you provided, but I'm not sure which of the options works for Wii emulation. I see the windows and mac versions but nothing for the Wii.  I was going to install a version for my computer so the link was still super helpful so thanks again.

We don't make a wii emulator. Get support from whoever supplied your slow wii emulator. If you want to play NDS games on your tv, a better way is to connect your PC to a TV.

@Crimson316 The currently best and only Wii emulator is Dolphin. https://dolphin-emu.org/

Wiferni, you misinterpret zeromus' words.

- He didn't mean, "We don't make an emulator that emulates the Wii console."
- What he meant was, "We don't make a DeSmuME port that runs on the Wii." Ergo, find the third-party website that makes the Wii DeSmuME port. Or better yet, just use one of the officially provided DeSmuME ports for the PC.

Look likes Desmume for Wii was too old and never updated since 2013.... Anyway, check the games compability here!
