Bowser's Inside Story 60fps slows down speeds up question

I'm running the latest version, 0.9.11. The game runs fine, 60fps, for about 10-15 minutes then all of a sudden it slows down to around 50-53fps, and stays that way until I restart the emulator. Although, as it's running around 50fps, every time I enter a battle, it jumps and stays at 60fps until the battle is over, then jumps right back down to a lower frame rate. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? So the fps won't jump down? I've never had a problem with any emulation or speed, up until this. Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys!

blow the dust out of your fans and set laptop to max performance

It's set to high performance, and fans are clean. Cpu usage is 0% when starting desmume. Still does it. Any other ideas?

buggy gpu drivers or buggy gpu, or you're using vsync and the vsync is breaking. try disabling vsync or changing config > display method.

I always keep vsync disabled. Enabling it just slows it down even more. I did however change frame skip to 1, and it stays put at 60fps, but it just looks a tad bit choppy.

Sounds like your system's performance is marginal. Good results cant be guaranteed in that case, any small quirk may drop you from a 60fps-only-by-luck condition to not-quite-60-fps

Different game modes have different performance. Sometimes radically so.
