Hotel dusk - background issue

This is a bug with the opengl renderer.
If you are playing hotel dusk sometimes a character erase the overlay.
Means you have a black and white picture and if the character moves, the movement deletes the black and white picture and the previous image (for example a coloured background) becomes visible again.
It is easily reproducible. Only watch the start sequence.

Re: Hotel dusk - background issue

Please post a screenshot of the graphical issue.

I have a very strong suspicion that what you're seeing is not actually an OpenGL bug or even a 3D rendering bug, but a timing bug caused by the use of the Dynamic Recompiler CPU emulation engine.

Try turning off Dynamic Recompiler and see if the problem goes away. If it does, try turning Dynamic Compiler back on, but with the block size set to 12. Is the problem still gone?

Re: Hotel dusk - background issue

You are absolutely right. It is a Recompiler issue.
Turning of Dynamic Recompiler or setting the block size to 20 solves the issue.
