Professor Layton (4) Specter's Call, has many Texture 'misalignments'

Professor Layton (4)  Specter's Call, has many Texture 'misalignments'.

In Layton 2 (Pandora's Box) were a few, but they were all gone(solved) when the 'TXT Hack' (9.11) was activated.
In Layton 4 does this 'hack' not help, not at all.

This refers to the Softrasterizer, when played with open GL, the textures and 3d objects are in place, but many of them are missing(invisible), so the only playable option is the Softrasterizer.
The effects can be seen everywhere throughout the game.
(for example Layton's eye blinks, River in the town, and many more)
Another strange effect  is in the 'Train' extra game. The tiles (3D-Objects) in the lower area of the screen are misplaced, what give the sensation of 'up and down' moving tiles.
(also here, open GL= correct placement, but a lot is missing)

Even though the game is good playable, it is kind of sad, seeing all these 'bugs'.

I truly hope, that issues like these can be solved or corrected via per-game-patches in the next release of your great Emulator.

Anyhow, thanks for a great piece of work.

there's no such thing as per-game patches in desmume.
none of these software rasterizer texture alignment bugs will be fixed in the next release.
some of the totally-missing opengl stuff might be fixed in the next release.

Re: Professor Layton (4) Specter's Call, has many Texture 'misalignments'

Thank you for quick your answer.

I saw, that your last work(s) are more openGL related, and I am sure, that you have much more important things to deal with.

But what I meant to say:
Somebody came up with the so called 'TXT hack' and it was implemented in your last release.
You yourself stated to another person, that it is indeed a 'Hack'.
But for some reason this 'hack' seems to solve many games, as it solves Layton 2  PERFECTLY.

It is clear to me, that even the adjustments made in that 'hack' do match for many games, they are not matching for others.
It is clearly possibly to create other hacks, that would fix other games or maybe even many other games at once.
As I said earlier, there might be more important things to do now,
but it would be clearly possible to include more 'hacks' to fix a wider range of games even as a later addon.
As it seems to be a common problem, it should be fixed one day.
Maybe, once found out, it will be fixed for all games at once. (just dreaming)

Anyhow thanks again.

TXT hack is not a per-game patch. It's not evidence that we make per-game patches.
The common problem should be fixed one day in about 30 years.
