Hi, I'm new, and can you use the Xbox One controller with Desmume??

Like I said, just signed up and that human/bot question was formidable, but I had google. [which led me to a topic here ironically]

But anyways, my 360 controller no longer works and MS finally released drivers for the ONE controllers, they say it should work with any game that uses the 360 pad but that's not the case with any of my emulators as none of them detect it's inputs, I've tried combining it with x360ce too but it's not working. So as of right now my emus are all useless, does anyone have any ideas of what I can do?

did any _games_ work with it, or have you only tested emulators?

I will not be surprised if MS screwed up their own driver. Check if it actually get detected as a joystick. You should be able to test it in Control Panel.

It works fine on normal games like Borderlands, but it works on no emulators, and I did forget to mention but no it didn't show up when I tried to test it with windows' controller configuration program.

try using bizhawk or retroarch. those support the 'xinput' interface. microsoft may not have bothered to support the 'directinput' interface which most emulators use. I would accuse them of being made liars by the 'any game that supports the xbox 360 pad' claim, then, however, it is entirely possible that microsoft is staffed completely by 20 year old rejects who would rather be working for apple and have never even heard of directinput, so they wouldn't know to support it. That's my charitable explanation.

im pretty sure pcsx2 supports xinput as well.

microsoft has done far worse than kill my dog. they keep killing it over and over every time they release a new windows version.

well, i'm pretty sure we solved this. I suggest you send your complaints to microsoft about their crappy driver, or wait for the 3rd party joystick drivers to support it (I'm sure they will). We should probably support xinput.. but that won't happen soon enough to be helpful to you.
