I have an issue in that when I went to go to the underground I am told when the game tries to save that there is a pre-existing file which can be deleted at the start menu by pressing up+select+B button. I have tried this and it has not worked. The .sav file for the game is not external and doesn't show up in the folder so I do not feel confident enough to try to go in myself and delete it for fear of messing up the game. I do have a save state of where I am and want to be in the game so that when I get rid of the hard save file I can save my game and continue as I want to and would really enjoy help with this problem as when I beat the Elite 4 the game will force a save and will then fail and I will be again be unable to progress so I would really enjoy if someone could help me with this problem.
EDIT: I am using the most current version of desmume if that helps at all.

your keyboard may not be able to handle up, select, and B all at once. bind them to different keys and eventually it will work. you can tell what keys are getting registered by turning on the input display HUD option.
I dont understand "the .sav file for the game is not external" but you can wipe the .dsv file for the game while the emulator is closed. When you reopen it there wont be a savefile.
Thanks I will try re-mapping the buttons and what I meant is unlike VBA where a .sav file shows up in the games folder representing the saved game, there is not one of these or even a .dsv file in the folder so I would not know where to go to delete this.
dsv will save whereever you open the rom from by default
if this is a temp folder, thats were it'll be.
Also, all major operating systems can search by file extension.......
i thought it was under the battery folder by default now
