Official versions of Desmume do not enable wifi, nor do the developers provide support for anyone using wifi enable builds.

Re: trade pokemon from desmume wifi using a dial up modem?

versions like the 0.9.7 have WI-FI compatibility and to answer your question sadly no,it does not support 3G,3.5G or any other dial up network.Only ethernet WIRED(lan wired internet cable) is supported without that you cannot use the WI-FI in game to connect to GTS,trade, battle or any other activity in the game that requires a WI-FI connection. This really saddens me cause I am facing the same problem, I have a wireless dongle 3G+ dail up connection and can not trade, battle etc online
