.Sav to .dsv help please

i am currently having problems with making my sav file into a dsv it automaticly converts sav into dsv but it wont load the dsv file.
is there a way that i can make the dsv into a ds# load state file? or im i just being retarded.
i am using DeSmu me .9.6  when i load attempt to load the automaticly converted dsv it does nothing
i have a .ds1 state file as a back up incase no other option can be found which i am keeping outside of directory..please help

my step by step is
1 export file
2 save export as .sav
3 have tried importing .sav both after editing with pokesav and using exact file for export
4 DeSmu me.9.6 autoconverts .sav into .dsv
5 load state from .dsv file

dont kno what im doing wrong..havnt been using emulators long but am knowlagable in computers  please help

your problem can't possibly have anything to do with which game you're playing, so you don't need to tell us which one it is. you also don't need to post in every single forum.
