try using a gamepad. maybe your keyboard can't handle that many of those types of keys. If you're using windows then you have another option:

go into hotkey config and enable a hotkey for auto-hold. let's suppose it is M.

back in the game, hold M and press the key for the LShoulder button. release.
then hold M and press the key for the RShoulder button. release.

etc. then these keys will be "stuck" down without you having to hold them. repeat the process to unstick them

Thanks very much.

Perhaps the DeSmuME developers could detect when these keys are being pressed and not being sent to the game, and tell the user what to do, or something.

if desmume could detect that those keys were being pressed, then it would be sending them to the game. it is your keyboard that doesnt tell your PC that the keys are being pressed.

After 6 years old bump, just looking of this and I playing this games, thanks for tips, Zeromus. Unless, change the L and R button into L and R key on keyboard. Got it from someone at YouTube website.
