Re: unable to initialize openGL

Do you have the lastest drivers for your card? Which colour depth have your screen set to? Everything seems pretty standard, and should theorically work perfectly smile

Re: unable to initialize openGL

Latest drivers? I thought the 9000 series ATI Catalyst support had ended? So latest drivers may be unsupported.

Re: unable to initialize openGL

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Starting from Catalyst 6.6 and up, the following cards/chipsets (including Mobility) are no longer supported by the ATI or Omega Drivers:

7000 Series
7200 Series
7500 Series
8500 Series
9000 Series
9200 Series
9250 Series

From the Omegadrivers website
http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php

I remember reading it somewhere else aswell though.

Re: unable to initialize openGL

Yep, 6.11 seem to be the last ones supporting those cards, anyway the 9600 is still supported by lastest Catalyst, so this doesn't apply on this context.

Re: unable to initialize openGL

solidsnake: DirectX isn't needed at all for the 3D core, as it's written with the openGL API smile

Re: unable to initialize openGL

Ahh ok shash...I would have though that 9000 series meant 9XXX though, so everything from a 9200 to a 9800
