Re: Advance Wars DS

And I confirmed that the 0.7.0 release has the same "cow glitch" on my machine... This is painful. Not only because of this but also the speed went down... sad   have to wait for the next release again... hope...

Also the screen start to flash light green... I assume that the transpancy has something to do with the light green screen flashing behind the sprites...

And you guys don't prefer Advance Wars?! And you type it as Advance Wards(Hospital you meant?)?! Pain...

Re: Advance Wars DS

as far as i can tell is emulation on Advance Wars perfect, except for the transparency issue.
all the menu's work now, would it be that much work to correct the last problem?
thanks for all your effort so far, hope i can fully play it soon

DutchMojo: I don't know how hard it would be, I'll check when I get home how it runs now on my current WIP.

Re: Advance Wars DS

Shash are you asleep you have already fixed transparency problems on your WIP remember the castlevaina pics on your blog. The only think you have to do is add it into the main CVS, like you did for the speed boost 47 hours ago.

Ps Whats the point of thoduv adding video capture when he know it does not work. (It says so in his logo entry for GPU.c)

I was asleep, true, but my current fixes don't cover the 100% of the issue, so Advance Wars might not be fixed: so I've to test it tongue

About thoduv's code, I checked it, and it seems to be a good base from where to work. As far as the code doesn't break hell a lot of stuff, it's not a blatant game oriented hack, compiles on all plataforms, it's ok to commit. This time is even more true, as adding capture support won't break any games, as without it, some backgrounds would be black, with it, at least something will show on them smile Just don't take CVS message logs too seriously.

Re: Advance Wars DS

Ok tell us a bit later if the "cow problem" happens on your WIP.  This may give you a different angle on the trasparency problem and may actually help you fix transparency 100% (Fingers Crossed). You never know!

Re: Advance Wars DS

Since the Nightly Build Site is blocked by Chinese GFW... Have to wait for 0.8. But good work! Keep up!
I'm so glad to see all those things getting done. As a coder myself(though not in this industry) I know what feeling you guys may have. Keep doing that! Bless u!

Re: Advance Wars DS

If you're asking how much time it will take to work perfectly, then the only answer is "When it's done", as I don't know.

Re: Advance Wars DS

That is right. Asking for time is stupid.
But it seems that the priority for you on this problem is low.
Ain't it? 0.7.1 has the same ingame. Yeah. And what about the next? the next's next? After how many releases approximately would you start to solve this problem once and for all?

You and I both know that what a game's fans thinks and wants when this game is close to the success of emulating. And I know how hard the work is if you want to get the problem settled. But I just want to ask IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY WORKING ON IT. Please?

Re: Advance Wars DS

Thank you, shash!
However, it seems that 0.7.2 didn't include this fix.
0.7.2 simply didn't work.
But I am absolutely happy*1e10 to see, at last, a working screenshot!

Then here left a problem: There is no time for me to wait in front of my laptop connected to the internet! I have to leave around Aug.15 and does that mean I have to leave without a build of desmume which runs Advance Wars DS?

Or could you please send me the nightly which you used to take the screenshot? Please? My Mail:SmileKZS@gmail.com

I love nightlys!

(And yeah, it looks perfect.)

Yep, won't be on 0.7.3 or next ones, probably...

Well well well...
Probably... !D just joking~
Alright. Since there won't be a release very soon, the time become not so important as long as there exists a fix.
How about a xmas gift for us AW lovers?

Re: Advance Wars DS

Does DeSmuME support transparency yet? Thats one of the main missing features from no$gba anyway.

i.e when you select a unit, the square are black instead of transparent red.

Keep up the good work!
