Hi
Im playing Zelda Phantom Hourglass.
And i need to aling the top part of the DS an the borrom part (close the DS) to get a symbol in the map.
So i have a question, is ther any way to simulate closing the DS with DeSmuME 0.9.1x86
Thks!!

You can do so with the key BACKSPACE (you can change the mapping on the control configuration). Afaik, it works on most situations, but might not be 100% functional.

You have to do the European version.

How do this in Linux ?

to do this in linux, perform the following steps:
1. recognize that you use a hobbyist OS
2. acknowlege that sometimes you are just going to need to fix things yourself
3. learn how to code
4. fix it
alternatively,
1. post a bug on the bug tracker

Hi ! I have the same problem parachute had, but backspace does't work.
I checked, backspace actually refers to PAUSE.
I use the 0.9.2x86 version
Thank you for your help !

why dont you check the control config menu and see what its bound to. geeze.

Ok it is solved ! In fact I had to use the hotkey linked to "LID". I don't speak english currently, so sorry if my question seemed stupid.

You know whats stupid is pulling up 5 month old posts to argue with.
You know whats stupid is arguing with the inflexible truth. Folks who use linux as a desktop are either pros, hobbyists, or confused. I think I detected that guy wasn't a pro. If he didnt think he was a hobbyist than he was just confused. It is important to clear that up. By hobbyist I mean hobbyist like a guy that buys a junky house but fixes it up bit by bit over the years. It's a bargain, but it is going to take some work to get use out of some of the rooms.

This is so embarrassing.

You're acting like a child.

Really ? I was under the impression that I was simply expecting that the same rules applied to everyone. If you want to call that acting like a child, then go ahead (oh wait, you already did) but I just got fed up with the special treatment that (some of) the admins are getting.
If code contributors didn't get special treatment then Linux would never get anywhere. I mean, have you seen some things that Linus writes/says? Where would we be if everyone just told him to shut up and go away?

While Zero is way more abrasive than he should be, he doesn't descend to obscenity. You did with your less than tasteful metaphor regarding flies and their dietary preferences.
There's taking a jab at someone/something and there's being immature.
Furthermore, to err is human. To err and then act out when you're scolded is exactly how children behave. Perhaps it is time to put this behind us?

Ok now this thread is even embarassing me, and I originally kicked up the controversy for my own enjoyment

Done.

You really should submit more controversial stories to slashdot.org more often
Offline
I already submit 30% of all controversial stories to slashdot, what more do you want

OMG, I had *no* idea that you would take that last remark even slightly serious... It was meant as a joke, man, lighten up

Just for the record: In GNU/Linux you can emulate desmume's windows executable, close the DS there, save the state, and then continue using linux version. In wine the emulator is very slow, but sufficient for this.
