ARM error while playing Pokemon

I was playing Pokemon and suddenly the game froze and it said "ARM9: Undefined instruction: 0x01406E20 PC=0x0000002C"

what does it mean and how do I fix it? I can't seem to retrieve any pokemon from the PC without the game freezing
