lost saved game file to dragon quest v

i didn't move anything, i have it on my desktop in its own folder and nothing is deleting it as all my other saves are just fine for my other games, it just did it for this game only.

when i check the dsv file it says it was altered today. i did nothing different than i do any other day, i just put my comp on sleep like i always do and my ingame saves and states are all gone for dragon quest 5. only thing i did was close desmume and this wasn't even the last game i played and used a different controller thats it. so is there anything i can do to get it back or is this going in the trash?

nm for some reason it made more folders on my desktop.. but ya very helpful site this is....
