Open Broadcast Software and Desmume

I've already tried going to the OBS forums for this, and it seems I'm better off asking here for the time being. I'm trying to stream with the emulator with the Window capture setting, and although the stream will show the game, the Twitch stream is seriously choppy/laggy. It was suggested it might be the emulator settings, but since I'm not all that familiar with OBS or Desmume settings,I have no idea what I'm doing.

no, youre better off on the OBS forums. config > display method contains the only relevant settings (and maybe config > 3d settings > renderer)
