[OSX] Importing .dsv files

Hi I'm running desmume 0.9.10 on a Mac and I wanted to import a save file to my Black 2 game.  I have the file on my computer and its a .dsv file.  When I click Import ROM Save File it doesn't let me open the save file.  Thanks

Re: [OSX] Importing .dsv files

bhboehlert, the import function only imports save files that aren't in the native DeSmuME format. If you already have a native DeSmuME formatted save file, then importing will not work.

Instead, choose File > Reveal Game Data Folder in Finder, then navigate to your DeSmuME version's "Battery" folder. Drop your .dsv file in the Battery folder and rename it so that it is the same name as your ROM.

In the end, you've just pointed out a UI issue: The import function should work on native formatted files. But whether this code is implemented at the backend level or the frontend level is something for us to consider.

Re: [OSX] Importing .dsv files

Also encountered a similar situation on Windows, though. I have been wondering about how to make a .dsv file loaded from let's say Pokémon Black to Pokémon Black 2.
But I never thought importing will work, so mine might be a different case.

Re: [OSX] Importing .dsv files

You do not import save files between games, because you do not transplant save memory chips between game cards
