Because I like testing DeSmuME and seeing what bugs have been fixed since the last time it was released. It's an interesting piece of software.
Then I wouldn't have to commit the awful crime of asking for help with building it myself.
Well if someone would start compiling new Mac builds, or just add macOS to the buildbot, then I wouldn't have to be annoying people here on the forum asking how to do it myself, then, would I?
Hell, I might even be able to do it myself if the instructions on the wiki weren't hopelessly out of date. Or are you developing DeSmuME purely for your own personal use and no one else's?
Hello, I'm attempting to compile DeSmuME from source using the instructions provided in the wiki. When I select the scheme DeSmuME (OS X App -- Latest Xcode) and Build For -> Profiling as described in the wiki, I get this error: Command CodeSign failed with a nonzero exit code. It also reports 'bundle format unrecognized, invalid, or unsuitable'.
I have no experience with Xcode, and I don't know how to correct this so that the app builds successfully. I can compile Dev+ and Debugger builds, but they crash as soon as I try to open them.
If Rogerman or someone else could provide new compiled Mac builds, I would be very grateful. Also I would like to point out that the compiled builds are not found at /desmume/src/frontend/cocoa/build/Release as described in the wiki, instead they are found at /Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/DeSmuME/Build/Products/Release. Someone should update the wiki with this information as it is quite misleading as things stand.
