also does it matter? I still don't know how desmume works in the save and load department, I could really use an explenation on how to safe a game file to the computer( don't you need to press export  backup memory?).

Lastest version is 0.9.8, please download it from the official site desmume . org

I've tested your savegame with the (E) version of the game. I have absolutely no problem with the game, i can transform Cubone to Marowak withouth any hang of the game. I've tested the official 0.9.8 and the lastest SVN. Both works fine. What version of the game (J,U,E) and Desmume are you using?

#3 Re: Support » Mystery Dungeon Problem » 2012-04-26 18:25:10

Can you upload your savegame (.dsv) near that point so we can debug it? Use a file host for upload.

Also, did you use cheats during the game? Many times cheats breaks the correct emulation of the game.

Thanks

Tested on a SVN build (revision 4229) and the game works flawlessly after i was beaten by the pyromaniac clown and i can pass the title "Metal Max 2".

Hello.

This game worked quite alright on the prior version (0.9.6). On the new version at the title screen it say "Touch to continue" but you just cant actually touch to progress.
I tried both the (E) and (U) versions of it and still the same issue shows up.
And yes I had a fresh unpacked emu to test it, no saved files nor sstates.

Please I'd like to know if its just me having this problem. Thank you.

Tested the (E) version on an SVN build (revision 4229) and the game works flawlessly. Probably it's a regression from 0.9.6, please wait for 0.9.8.

Currently using the Desmume-Cli version but I can't turn off the sound, change controls,
change the size of the window as well. I am aware I can zoom in, but it is a major
inconvenience. Please respond a.s.a.p smile. I am playing Pokemon Black at the moment.

Moved to Support, this is not a technical argument. And btw no support for pokemon.

hi, I've been playing Harvest Moon Ds Cute on Desmume and its been working fine up until the night before the wedding, and suddenly every time I try and go to sleep the night before the wedding it freezes on a black screen. Can someone please help? Thanks

We need more information:

-Version of desmume that are you using
-Your O.S.

Are you using the (U) USA (J) Japanese or (K) Korean version?

Also are you using savestate? Try loading from a SAVEGAME (from ingame menu) and tell us if still there is this problem.

If the behaviour remain please upload your .dsv (the savegame) to a file host site, maybe you found an interesting bug smile

#8 Re: Compatibility » Harvest Moon Twin Villages » 2011-09-26 18:01:04

If happens again please upload with a file host site your savegame (.dsv extension) so we can check it. Maybe it's a bug.

#9 Re: Support » Game card erorr » 2011-09-26 17:58:55

Tell us the version of desmume that are you using and your OS. Also upload on a file host your savegame BEFORE the ending (it's a .dsv file).Maybe it's a bug and could be interesting to fix.

I've tested the (U) version of Harvest Moon DS The Tale of Two Towns (Twin villages is the literal translation from japanese) with the lastest SVN version of Desmume and the official 0.9.7 and it works perfectly. Remember to put the desmume.exe into a folder of your choice and not running it from the downloaded zip. Also delete your desmume.ini and retry.

Use 0.9.6. Check on Advanscene the appropriate savetype.

Add another 1gb to RAM. 1Gb only with vista is quite a suicide.

I haven't fully tested it yet.

Have you tried the lastest SVN from emucr.com? If isn't fixed please post a savegame+ savestate near that freezing point on a file host. It would help the developer to track down the bug. Thanks.

This game is far from be well emulated because it's a "special game" that uses NAND for storage. We need more information about the chip inside the cartridge, so if you want to help us, provide some pictures of it.

I you have downloaded it, it isn't from your cartridge. This is piracy. Closed.

In Dragon Quest V, if you move to the bottom third of the world (below the haunted factory) the screen goes blank. You can still access your menu, but everything else is black. If you move above a certain line, you can see yourself again.

Now, I took the dsv file and tried it on 0.9.5 and it worked fine. I made a fresh copy of 0.9.6 and tried it out again, but it did not work. I concluded that it must be a 0.9.6 issue. There may be other variables, but this appears to be the case.

Has anyone else found this?

PS yes, the 3d settings were the same.

Interesting, have you tried the lastest SVN on emucr.com? Also can you post your dsv on an file host to try it?

hikarushadow21 wrote:

Hello, I have never been able to understand AR...I've tried multiple methods to try and get it to work, but to no avail.

I am certain I am using the USA release of Pokemon SoulSilver on the official 9.5 version of DeSmuME (windows XP, 0.9.5 x 86). I have done these steps: cheats >list >action replay> copy and paste AR code from 'http://us.codejunkies.com/search/codes/ … 17___.aspx'>save >press (L+R) in various sequences and moments of running the game (at start up, at the menu where you click on your in game save file, during general game play, and inside the inventory menu). I know that there is still progress that the DeSmuME team is trying to make with making cheats more and more accessable and that I may not be able to use some codes, but I've seen many instances where people have said, "hey, it works now..." or "hey, just do it like this cause it works for me"...and I can't seem to understand how to activate or use AR codes like these folks. I have exhausted the forum and faq...and other sources from a simple internet search like Yahoo Answers, Youtube, and other forums. Instructions like "AR Codes and DeSmuMe for Dummies" don't seem to exist, lol.  Maybe it's a simple step I missed. Maybe you might think I'm dense. Even if the answer to my problem is a simple step, I would like to hear it, cause I'm stuck.... and have no choice but to come here and ask -_-;.

Why are you using such an old version of Desmume? The lastest official one is 0.9.6. About cheat codes i'll suggest to use the lastest SVN where zeromus has fixed the problem (still need testing thought).

First, stop using 0.9.5 and use 0.9.6, million times better. Then switch to softrasterizer under Config->3D Settings.
